About this watch
An exceptionally handsome 1968 18ct gold Omega Constellation C Shape, featuring a silky linen dial, furnished with simple gold baton markers and hands, and a date set window at the three ‘o’ clock mark. A stand out feature of this model is the smooth simplicity in the way the lugs have been fully integrated with the case middle, providing a larger feel to the case diameter, with a continuous line from lug to lug. The trend towards bigger watches was very much a feature of the 1960s.
In line with other Constellations it sports the Constellation script and star above the six ‘o’ clock mark, and the Omega logo below the 12, as well as the cupola of the Geneva Observatory on the watch back, crowned by eight stars.
Calibre 751 automatic movement, this stylish model comes fully regulated and serviced.
A little history: the name ‘C-shape’ comes from the C in the letter of the alphabet, due to the design being the third iteration of the Omega Constellation line, along with the case shape and lugs resembling two Cs, one standard C and the other its mirror image.
