About this watch
A divine all-original 1964 Omega Constellation in rose gold cap. Its original features include: dial with gold/black hands and markers; ref. 168004 automatic movement yielding 19,800 bph (5.5 beats per second), 24-jewel caliber 561; Incabloc shock protection; sweep seconds; 36mm case featuring engraved Constellation logo on back; signed crown. We have replaced the strap with a new lizard one, and the movement has been fully serviced and regulated.
A little history: Constellations of the 1950s through to the 1970s had some of the best movements ever made which were produced in-house by the Omega company. This was before the business was absorbed by what eventually became the Swatch Group. It means that ‘Connies’ (as their loyal fans know them) of this period carry an intrinsic horological value, and are highly collectable – as well as being rather heavenly to wear.
