About this watch
A quality Omega Seamaster 120 Diver, dating back to 1968. With a handsome black dial, beige and white markers, offset by a light brown leather watch strap, this is a watch for all occasions.
A smaller and lighter version than the highly successful third generation Seamaster 300 divers it evolved from, it has a 37mm diameter, is fully automatic with 19,800 bph (5.5 beats per second), has 24 jewels caliber 565, Incabloc shock protection, a quickset date and sweep seconds, with both the case and crown signed and the Seamaster logo found on it’s back.
In original condition, this watch keeps very good time and comes fully serviced.
The first Seamaster was launched in 1948 to time with Omega’s 100th anniversary and today it’s the oldest line in the Omega collection. It’s first diving-record was in 1955 when Gordon McLean reached a depth of 62.5 metres in Australian waters while wearing one.
Designed as a strong but elegant time piece for active individuals, it had a loose association with watches manufactured for the British military at the end of the second world war.
