About this watch
A gorgeous 18ct gold 1963 Omega Seamaster in very good condition. Extremely clean and crisp tapestry 18ct gold dial and date window at 3 o’clock. The 35mm solid gold case bears the classic Hippocampus (sea monster) Seamaster logo handsomely on the reverse.
The 562 calibre automatic movement is beautifully clean and has been fully serviced and regulated. We’ve enhanced the piece with a new brown lizard strap.
A little history: Omega had launched the Seamaster back in 1948, based on the wristwatches supplied to the RAF during WWII. Also in 1963… the Beatles released their first album, Please Please Me, the BBC broadcast the first episode of Doctor Who (introducing the Daleks), plus Ian Fleming’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and John le Carré’s The Spy Who Came in From the Cold were published.
18k Solid Gold
