About this watch
A lovely, classic Omega watch, this Omega Seamaster dates back to 1966. Featuring an attractive black dial with applied indexes, it is a handsome piece to wear.
The infamous Seamaster hippocampus logo can be found embossed on the screw-down case back, with other Omega branding found on the inside of the watch case, on the workings of the watch, and on the crown.
Reference number 166002, it is powered by the highly-effective 24-jewel calibre 562 automatic movement, which beats at 19,800 per hour (5.5 per second), has Incabloc shock protection, and sweep seconds. The watch measures 34mm in diameter.
In an all-original condition, comes fully serviced and regulated, and keeps excellent time.
A little history: the Seamaster was launched in 1948 and based on the pilot’s watch that Omega supplied to the RAF during WW2. Today it’s the oldest line in the Omega collection. This particular timepiece represents the heyday of the Seamaster marque.
