About this watch
A collectors favourite, this stunning Omega Seamaster 300 has a contemporary feel, due to its larger sizing for the period, but with all the beauty of a classic vintage divers watch.
It features an attractive matt black dial, bi-directional ratcheting bezel, 40mm case with lyre lugs, sword hands, and the Omega Seamaster seahorse on the back of the case – symbolic of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea.
Reference number 165024, and powered by the reliable calibre 24-jewel 552 movement, this watch beats at 19,800 beats per hour (5.5 per second), has Incabloc shock protection and sweep seconds.
In an all original condition, it has been fully serviced and regulated, keeps excellent time, and comes with its original Omega box and Omega archive extract dating delivery to January 30, 1967. This really is an excellent find.
A little history: The 1960 to70s was the golden era for dive watches. Omega’s history with dive watches reaches back to the 1930s. The calibre 552 movement was produced by Omega from 1958 to 1969, and used in a number of its models.
