About this watch

At 67 years old, a true classic and excellent timekeeper. This Omega Seamaster, with the Swiss lever escapement, epitomises a long tradition of fine craftsmanship and precision engineering. The original stamped stainless steel case, measuring 34mm, holds the 17 jewels calibre 351 with Omega’s “Bumper” automatic movement and yoke winding system. The 19,800 bph (5.5 beats per second). Shock protection is provided by the integrated Incabloc system. The dial is original with pointed silver hour markers. We have fully serviced and regulated the movement. The watch runs very well and keeps excellent time.

A little history:
The Omega Seamaster was introduced in 1948. The “bumper” movement is an early design of automatic movement where, rather than spinning a complete 360 degrees, the rotor moves through about 120 degrees. The name refers to the bump that can be felt as the rotor rebounds off the spring at each end of the swing.
