A little history:
The Omega Seamaster was introduced in 1948. The “bumper” movement is an early design of automatic movement where, rather than spinning a complete 360 degrees, the rotor moves through about 120 degrees. The name refers to the bump that can be felt as the rotor rebounds off the spring at each end of the swing.
