About this watch

A stylish 18ct gold Omega Seamaster De Ville, which dates back to 1962. Featuring a clean white dial, with gold batons and markers, a gold outlined date window, and the Omega emblem on the watch face, this really is a fine example of a classic vintage Omega.

Powered by the 17-jewel calibre 562 automatic movement, reference number 14770, it beats at 19,800 per hour and 5.5 per second, and comes housed in a 34mm case, with the distinctive Omega ‘hippocampus’ sea horse embossed on the case back.

We have provided a new brown crocodile watch strap, in keeping with the overall style of the piece.

A little history: the De Ville was launched in 1960 as a dress watch within the Seamaster line, which had first been manufactured in 1948. In 1963 it was famously seen on the wrist of James Bond in the film ‘From Russia with Love’. In 1967 the De Ville was launched as a separate line from that of the Seamaster.
