About this watch

A simply stunning 1962 Omega Seamaster De Ville in 18 ct gold. Its 24-jewel 562 caliber automatic movement, renowned for its reliability, is still keeping excellent time; it clocks up 19,800 bph, that’s 5.5 beats per second. Other features include Incabloc shock protection, sweep seconds, gold batons, date window at 3 o’clock, and new Italian lizard strap. The finish on this 35 mm signed case – note the famous Seamaster logo on back – is really exceptional and it’s rare to find a vintage piece in such beautiful condition.

A little history: launched in 1960, the water-resistant self-winding De Ville quickly became the epitome of the debonair yet highly functional dress watch. Famous Omega wearers have included John F. Kennedy and Buzz Aldrin, and Don Draper can be spotted wearing an Omega Seamaster De Ville during season 5 of Mad Men.
