Omega Seamaster De Ville 18ct Gold 1966
About this watch
A super smart, less-frequently seen, rose gold Omega De Ville, which dates back to 1966. With all the quality features of a timeless Omega classic, this watch has the added wow of a warm rose gold case, hands and markers, and outlined date window — fitting for a distinctive luxury watch.
Measuring 34mm in diameter the 18ct rose gold case has the infamous Omega ‘hippocampus’ sea horse embossed on its back. While the Omega logo can also be seen on the watch crown and dial.
Reference number 166020, it’s powered by the 24-jewel caliber 565 automatic movement, which beats at 19,800 beats per hour (5.5 per second), and has Incabloc shock protection and sweep seconds.
This lovely piece is in an original condition, and keeps very good time. Fully serviced and regulated, we have paired it with a new crocodile strap.
A little history: the De Ville was launched in 1960 as a dress watch within the Seamaster line, which had first been manufactured in 1948. In 1963 it was famously seen on the wrist of James Bond in the film ‘From Russia with Love’
