About this watch
This sophisticated Omega Seamaster Gold Cap dates back to 1954. A handsome watch in which the use of gold – in the capped case and gold markers – has been perfectly offset by an elegant black dial. The subtle Omega emblem can be seen below the 12 ‘o’ clock mark and the watch line can be found scribed just above the 6 ‘o’ clock mark.
An automatic watch, Calibre 471, it is all original and in a very good condition, bearing testimony to Omega’s durability and outstanding craftsmanship. The watch strap has been replaced with a new brown band to complement the watches overall aesthetics.
A little history: this watch comes from what is often described as the high period of watch production for the Omega brand, the 1930-1960s, in which many technical advances were made and Omega were continually breaking accuracy records, while maintaining the distinctive tasteful style of Omega watches.
