A little history: The Datejust was released in 1945. It was introduced as the world’s first pressure-proof, automatically winding, calendar wrist watch, with a self-setting date viewed through a cyclops window found on the watch face at the 3 ‘o’ clock mark. The magnified two and one half power cyclops lens, which allowed for easy reading of the date, was first released with the Datejust model.
