About this watch
A rare, collectable, Rolex Oyster Precision featuring an attractive brown dial, with gold hands and baton appliqué hour markers. Sporting the Rolex crown at the 12 ‘o’ clock mark, the Precision mark at the 6 ‘o’ clock mark, and a slim screw-down back to the watch case, the overall look and feel of this watch is one of classic finesse.
Reference 6424, it has the highly durable, and reliable, hand-wound calibre 1210 movement with 17 jewels, and at 36mm in diameter with a 20mm lug width, it’s a nice solid wear.
A number of different dials were developed for the Rolex Oyster Precision, but this is one of the more unusual and less frequently seen variations. The perfect present for a lover of vintage watches, or an opportunity to impress someone new to vintage watches, or something for yourself, this really is something out of the ordinary.
In an all-original condition, it comes fully serviced and regulated, and keeps very good time.
A little history: the Oyster Precision was manufactured from the early 1950s to the later 1960s. Similar to the Explorer
