About this watch

A classic watch, this Rolex Oyster Precision 1970 offers a stylish, understated simplicity matched with precision timekeeping.

Featuring an attractive black dial, with silver batons and markers, housed in a stainless steel case with a smooth bezel, this is an incredibly distinguished model, fit for both day and evening wear.

Increasingly a collectors item, due to decreasing numbers in circulation, it is an excellent find.

Reference number 6426, it is manually wound and powered by the high-calibre, 17-jewel, 1225 movement and has a screw down Rolex crown.

Fully serviced and regulated, this piece keeps very good time and comes in an original condition, along with a Rolex box.

A little history:The Precision status of Rolex watches comes from Rolex’s early achievements in being the first wristwatch awarded the Swiss Certificate of Chronometric Precision, in 1910, and then the ‘A’ class precision from the Kew Observatory in 1914.
