This 1980 Rolex OysterDate Precision features an oyster-white dial, silver hands, silver batons, 7.5” Rolex oyster bracelet, hand-wind mechanism, plus the trademark Cyclops magnifying lens over the date: a feature introduced in 1955. The mid-sized case is 30mm. The pioneering Rolex Oyster waterproof marque launched in 1926. This particular wristwatch arrived on the market within a decade of the Oyster featuring in the conquest of Everest (1953), cementing the marque’s link with human endurance under extreme conditions.
