About this watch
This 1965 Tudor is a beautiful example and in fantastic condition. All is original, The movement is a Tudor calibre 2403 manually wound movement – this is an exemplary piece.
A little history: Tudor, a sister brand to Rolex, was launched by Hans Wilsdorf in 1949. Viewed historically as a more affordable alternative to Rolex, the marque still managed to exhibit the high quality expected of the original. Indeed, during the golden era when the Tudor Oyster-Prince was launched in 1952, the watch was seen as a direct parallel to the Rolex-branded Oyster Perpetual – even featuring that Rolex branding on the crown and case – and the two marques appeared alongside each other in advertising etc. However, compared with a Rolex Oyster Perpetual of the same vintage, this exemplary timepiece represents exceptional value.
